Terms of Service

ForRico is an online marketplace connecting pet owners (“Owners”) with pet care providers (“Sitters”). We are a platform — we do not ourselves provide pet care services. The contract for each booking is directly between Owner and Sitter.

By creating an account or using ForRico you agree to these Terms.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must provide accurate, current registration information.
• One account per person. We may terminate duplicate accounts.
• Sitters operating commercially must comply with applicable German trade and tax law.

No charge is made until the Sitter accepts and the Owner confirms payment. ForRico charges a service fee visible at checkout. Sitters are paid out via Stripe Connect within 7 business days of completion. Sitters are responsible for all applicable taxes on earnings.

Each Sitter sets their own cancellation policy (same day, 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days). If a Sitter cancels a confirmed booking, the Owner receives a full refund including the platform fee. Platform fees are non-refundable when an Owner cancels outside the Sitter's window.

• Provide accurate, complete pet information including health, behaviour, and medications.
• Ensure pets are vaccinated as required by law.
• You are liable for damage caused by your pet to the Sitter or their property.

• Provide only bookings confirmed on the platform.
• Maintain your described standard of care at all times.
• Contact the Owner and ForRico immediately in any emergency.
• No subcontracting without explicit Owner consent.

• Arranging payments outside ForRico for platform-sourced bookings.
• False or misleading listings, reviews, or profile information.
• Harassment, threats, or discrimination against other users.
• Automated scraping or data extraction.
• Any illegal use of the platform.

Confirmed, paid bookings are covered by:

• Veterinary expenses: up to €2,500 per incident if a pet is injured due to Sitter negligence.
• Property damage: up to €1,000 for damage caused by the pet to the Sitter's property.

Claims must be filed within 72 hours via the booking detail page. Pre-existing conditions and wilful acts are excluded.

ForRico's aggregate liability is limited to fees you paid ForRico in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from services provided by Sitters.

These Terms are governed by German law. Disputes not resolved informally are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany. Contact us first: legal@forrico.com
