A meet and greet is a brief pre-booking meeting between you, your pet, and the sitter. It is scheduled through the ForRico platform before payment is required.
Why it matters
- Confirms the sitter and pet are a good fit
- Lets you walk through your pet's routine, medication, and any behaviour notes in person
- Gives you a chance to ask questions about the care environment
- Lets the sitter clarify any concerns before committing
Is it required?
ForRico strongly recommends a meet and greet for any boarding or multi-day booking. For single dog walks or short drop-in visits with an established sitter, it is optional.
How to schedule one
After finding a sitter, click Propose meet and greet on their profile. You will be able to suggest times and the sitter can confirm or propose an alternative. The meeting can be in-person or via video call.
After the meeting
If the meeting goes well, proceed with the booking. If it does not — if the sitter and pet do not connect, or the sitter's environment is not what you expected — you can decline without being charged.
