How does ForRico verify sitters?

Every sitter on ForRico goes through an approval process before their profile appears in search results.

The approval process

  1. Profile review: The ForRico admin team reviews the sitter's bio, services, pricing, and location for completeness and consistency.
  2. Identity check: Sitters must submit a government-issued ID (passport or national ID card). The document is reviewed by the team.
  3. Approval decision: The team approves or requests additional information. Sitters are notified by email.

The verified badge

Sitters who complete identity verification receive a verified shield badge on their profile and in search results. This badge is visible to owners at a glance.

What verification does not guarantee

Verification confirms a sitter's identity — it does not guarantee a specific care outcome. Owners should still:

  • Read reviews carefully
  • Complete a meet and greet for longer stays
  • Check that the sitter understands their pet's specific routine and needs

Reporting a concern

If you have concerns about a sitter's conduct, report them through the incident system on the booking page. Reports are reviewed by the support team.
