Sitters receive payment after the booking completes and the owner confirms satisfaction.
Payout flow
- The owner pays when confirming the booking — funds are held.
- The stay completes.
- The owner confirms no issues (or the platform auto-releases after a short window if the owner does not respond).
- The platform fee is deducted and the net amount is transferred to the sitter's payout account.
Setting up your payout account
Go to /payouts and connect your bank account via the Stripe Connect onboarding flow. You will need:
- A German bank account (IBAN)
- Identity verification through Stripe
Payout schedule
You can choose to receive payouts:
- Weekly (every Monday for completed bookings from the prior week)
- Monthly (first business day of the month)
- Manual (transfer on demand)
The schedule can be changed from your payouts dashboard at any time.
Taxes
Sitters are responsible for their own tax reporting. The payouts dashboard provides a downloadable earnings summary for each calendar year.
